Enjoy a fab evening of top quality music at our main WinterFest event – Music by Candlelight – featuring Swing Express, Loxley’s Corner and Katy Bingham-Best.
Headlining this year is the brilliant Swing Express, a 17-piece big band with a BIG sound! Formed in 2021 by musicians who just wanted to play together, the band soon found itself in demand for concerts and dances across Essex and Suffolk.
With a repertoire comprising many of the big band favourites of yesteryear, plus a wide range of old and new standards in a contemporary big band style, this is a band guaranteed to get your toes tapping – and definitely not to be missed!
Loxley’s Corner is led by well-known local musician (and WinterFest crew member) Robin Oxford, AKA Loxley (pictured above). For our concert, Loxley will be joined by David Dawes, Jenny Nichols and Debra Westowski playing songs you’ll know – and some you won’t!
Completing our line-up is the inimitable Katy Bingham-Best, who charmed audiences with her performances of songs from light opera and musicals when she performed for WinterFest a few years ago.
There’ll be a licensed bar selling beers, wines and snacks, along with table and gallery seating. Doors 6.30pm for a 7pm start. See you there!
