Wellbeing Weekend -Arts & Crafts Taster Workshops

Our Arts & Craft Taster Workshops on Saturday 8th February run from 10am -4pm and kick off our Winterfest Wellbeing Weekend at Brightlingsea Sailing Club.

Artists & Makers give their time for free and just ask for a contribution for materials. Workshops can be booked via the artists and makers directly where indicated, slots may be available on the day. Some sessions are drop-in -session times are shown below.

Café seating will be available in all areas. Winterfest Galley café will run from 10am-4pm on both 8th and 9th February offering drinks and a wide range of sweet and savoury fare- all proceeds go to The Winterfest Wellbeing Fund.

A FoodBank Collection point for non-food items and hygiene products will be located by the galley. Vouchers for Galley and workshops will be available at the local Foodbanks.

Image Printing on Handmade paper – Join Charlie for a fun family-friendly workshop a Winterfest favourite! A rolling workshop on the 8th February with 30 minute slots available all day. Supervised kids welcome.

Decorating Scallop Shells – relax and take home a piece of nautical art you created yourself! Kids welcome when supervised by an adult

Create and plant seed pots – sustainable family fun and planting and an opportunity to discover the Community Allotment gang in Brightlingsea which meets every Wednesday am

Outdoor activity for accompanied kids of all ages creating natural pinecone birdfeeders and other activities and if the weather is ok a little beach bonfire. Dress for the weather!

Relax and create an image via collage that makes you happy and calms the body – great for adults and older teens teens.

Create small works of art and/or seascape collages inspired by the wonderful Brightlingsea Sailing Club views

A drop-in table for meditative colouring and mindful drawing. There will be exciting colouring pages to make beautiful and take home with you and interesting objects to draw. All materials supplied and supervised children welcome.
