It has been a difficult time for many of us, with losses to Covid19 and separation from loved ones, and this Valentine's Day will be very different in lockdown. On a day when we think of love but many can't be together, and some are completely alone, we are encouraging everyone to take part in a gesture of love, solidarity, memory and hope.
Often when a loved one is away or missed or expected home, we say we'll leave a light on for them. So for this one night, leave a light on:
- -In a window of your home, put a candle or lamp
- -Think about those you love, whether family, friends or partners
- Let them know they matter to you, with a letter, gift, card or phone call
If you are out and about, look at all the lights and think of those who put them there – your friends and neighbours.
